What happened to InVision?
InVision announced in January 2024 that its design collaboration services, including prototypes and DSM, would close at the end of that year. The last day of access was December 31, 2024. After that, accounts and data were permanently deleted and share links stopped working. Freehand, InVision’s whiteboard, had already been sold to Miro in November 2023.
What to use instead
InVision did several jobs, so there isn’t one replacement. Here’s how the work splits:
Prototyping and design: Figma covers most of what InVision prototypes did.
Whiteboards: Freehand boards moved to Miro.
Sharing work with clients and collecting feedback: this is the job Honter is built for.
How Honter replaces InVision for client reviews
If you used InVision to send screens to a client and collect comments, Honter does the same with more context. Web designs open in a browser frame, with desktop and mobile side by side. Decks play as slides. Social ads sit in a feed and emails open in an inbox. Clients add their name and comment, with no account, and AI reviewers can check each round before the client sees it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I import my old InVision projects into Honter?
Not directly. If you exported your screens as PNG or PDF before the shutdown, you can upload them to a new Honter project.
Is Honter a prototyping tool?
No. Honter is for presenting work to clients and getting it reviewed. For clickable prototypes, use Figma.
Does Honter work with Figma?
Yes. The Honter Figma plugin pushes frames straight into a project for deck, web, social ad, email, gallery and document reviews.
