Where Honter is the better fit
Clients review the work where it will live
Markup.io puts comment pins on top of whatever you upload. That works well for a PDF or a live web page. It works less well for a Facebook ad or a launch email, where the client has to picture the feed or the inbox. Honter shows each format in its real setting. Social ads sit in Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn mockups. Emails open in an inbox. Web designs load in a browser frame, and display banners appear at their true size. Your client reacts to what their customers will see.
Problems get caught before the client sees them
Before you send the link, Honter’s AI reviewers read the work from different angles. The Skeptic names the weakest part. The Translator flags language that will land differently than you meant. The Audience predicts how the intended reader will react. You fix the obvious issues first, so the client’s round goes to real decisions. As of October 2026, Markup.io doesn’t list a comparable feature.
Pricing that doesn’t meter your work
Markup.io’s Pro plan is priced by how many MarkUps you create each month, starting at 50 for $79, with extra MarkUps sold in packs. Honter Pro is a flat $19.99 a month with unlimited projects, and the free plan covers 6 projects with every format included.
Clients can talk instead of type
Clients can record a voice comment and Honter transcribes it. You can also record a walkthrough of up to five minutes to talk them through the work before they start.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Honter has a free plan with 6 projects, all eight formats and the AI reviewers. Markup.io no longer has a free plan. It offers a 14-day trial that requires a card.
Do my clients need an account to comment in Honter?
No. They open the link, type their name and start commenting.

There’s no direct import. The simplest path is to start your next round in Honter and keep finished projects where they are.
